What is the difference between an MFF2 SIM card and a virtual eSIM?

Things Mobile SIM cards in MFF2 format are embedded UICC SIM cards, meaning they are physical, on-chip SIMs designed to be soldered directly onto the electronic board of IoT devices. Unlike virtual eSIMs of the eUICC type, these SIM cards do not support remote switching (OTA) between operators.
