Does a SIM card in "disconnected" state continue to pay the network access fee?

Yes, SIM cards in "disconnected" state are still charged the network access fee of €0.25 (Business customers) and €0.30 (Private customers) per operator per month, as they continue to attempt network connections.

When a SIM card is disconnected:

  1. Any attempts to connect to the network are charged at 1 kB or 10 kB, depending on the operator, and deducted from the SIM card’s remaining data balance.
  2. Once the data balance is exhausted, the SIM card is automatically "locked," even if automatic recharge is enabled.
  3. Connection attempts contribute to the monthly network access fee of each operator for the ongoing calendar month.
  4. The SIM card can still receive SMS.

Tip: Use the “Disconnect” operation when the device is not to be used for a limited period, as the SIM card may generate costs related to connection attempts.
