How can I create a data top-up automation?

Automations help you manage your Things Mobile SIM cards by automatically topping them up when data is running low. The Default Automation adds 10 MB when the SIM’s available data drops below 9.5 MB.

Here’s how to create a custom automation:

1. Log in to the IoT Portal

   Click here and log in using your credentials.

2. Open the Automations section

   From the left menu, click on “Automations”.

3. Create a new automation

   Click on “NEW AUTOMATION”.

   Set the rules

   • Choose a name for your automation
   • Select manual or automatic top-up
   • If automatic: define the minimum data threshold (MB) and the top-up amount (MB)

4. Save your automation

   Click “PROCEED” to confirm.

Tip:

If the SIM is linked to a shared data package, the MB will be taken from the package instead of using credit.
