How to configure the APN for a SIM card without a public fixed IP?

For the correct operation of the device (e.g., IoT devices, GPS trackers, alarms, etc.), we recommend performing the following configurations:

1. Insert the SIM card into the device.

   By default, the device will automatically detect the APN as pepper.

   If prompted to configure the APN, use the following parameter:

   • APN: TM

     (If you have activated the public fixed IP service, use the APN JTFIXEDPUBLIC .)

2. If username and password are required, leave the fields empty.
3. Enable data roaming on the device.
4. Enable the data connection.

Here are additional parameters that might be useful (but you can ignore them if not requested):

1. SMS Service Center: 447797704000
2. MCC: 234
3. MNC: 50
4. PLMN (Operator Code): 23450

Note:

If the APN configuration needs to be done via SMS, ensure that the command is properly received by the device. When sending SMS, remember to prepend 00 or + to the Things Mobile number (e.g., 00882... or +882... ) when sending an SMS from another operator to the Things Mobile SIM card. Conversely, prepend 00 or + to the international prefix of the country (e.g., 0039 or +39 for Italy) when sending an SMS from Things Mobile to another operator.
