Why have SMS charges been applied for messages not sent by the device?
We suggest checking the configurations you have set up for the device, as the SIM card does not send SMS messages autonomously.
If you see SMS charges in the IoT Portal, it means that the messages were indeed sent by the device, even if they may not have reached the recipient. Please verify the following:
- If the device is programmed to send SMS to an administrator number stored in the device, make sure the number includes the international dialing code (+39 or 0039 for Italy). Without the international prefix, the SMS sent by the device are charged but not delivered.
- If the device (e.g., a satellite tracker) is set to send an SMS update whenever a change occurs in a specific configuration, check how often the device sends such updates or information via SMS.
