What should I do if my device isn't receiving SMS?
If your device isn't receiving SMS, we recommend performing the following checks:
Check the device configuration
Make sure you’ve followed the instructions in the device's user manual correctly. Some devices require specific configurations to receive SMS.
Verify the recipient's number format
Things Mobile SIM cards are international, so SMS must be sent in the international format:
- To send an SMS to an Italian number, prefix the local number with +39.
- To send an SMS to a Things Mobile SIM card, use +88236 or 0088236 followed by the rest of the number.
Check the compatibility of your local number
Ensure that your number is enabled to send and receive international SMS.
Since the Things Mobile SIM number is an international non-geographic number, some local operators may restrict sending or receiving SMS to these types of numbers. We recommend checking your mobile plan conditions with your local operator.
